Meet Donna!
Global(x) is excited to announce the latest addition to our team of long-term missionaries, Donna Neimeister!
On August 22, 2022 Donna headed to the remote village of Lweteega in the Mukono district of Uganda, but that’s not where her story begins. It’s back in 2014 when she took her first international mission trip to Kenya. Through that experience and several other trips, she fell in love with Africa and the people who live there. She even prayed that she would call it home one day.
Eventually, God called her to move from Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia. She started attending North Point Community Church where she was introduced to global(x) and the opportunity to become a long-term missionary. After many months of conversations, preparation, and prayer, she’s on her way!
In Uganda, Donna will serve in her rural community’s primary school and teach life skills classes and art to the students. She’s also looking forward to using her past experience as a Recreational Therapist to help love and care for the elderly in the neighboring villages.
Donna has a passion for women's ministry and is eager and ready to walk alongside the Ugandan women as they experience life, challenging as it may be. She’d love to use her gifts and talents to develop community classes around life skills, childcare, cooking, art, and English, and help foster connection within the community through support groups and bible studies.
We’re thrilled to be able to walk alongside Donna on this journey. If you’re interested in learning more about Donna or how you can support her efforts, please visit her website.
