Donna Neimeister
Donna Neimeister is currently serving in the remote village of Lweteega in the Mukono district of Uganda. Check out the warm welcome she received when she arrived!
In 2014, she took her first international mission trip to Kenya. Through that experience and several other trips, she fell in love with Africa and the people who live there. She even prayed that she would call it home one day.
During that time, Donna had connected with a long-term missionary who was currently serving in Uganda. Coincidentally, they attended the same School for Creative and Performing Arts in Ohio. Their fast friendship was further encouragement for Donna to pursue long-term missionary work.
Eventually, God called her to move to Atlanta, Georgia and led her North Point Community Church, global(x), and the opportunity to become a long-term missionary in Uganda.
Serving in Uganda
Donna has a passion for women's ministry and is walking alongside the Ugandan women as they experience life, challenging as it may be. She’s using her gifts and talents to host community training classes around childcare, cooking, art, and other skills. She’s also using her past experience as a recreational therapist to help love and care for elderly women in the neighboring villages.
As Donna reflects on how God was preparing her for this move, she knows her life experiences, the skills she has learned, the people who were placed in her life, and her relationship with God have equipped her for this moment. She’s incredibly thankful to each person who has helped make this happen and ultimately in awe of God for providing this opportunity.
